Todo esto me impresionó de sobremanera, pues a lo largo de toda mi vida he sentido una gran conexión con la naturaleza y con los animales, siempre he preferido el campo a la ciudad y me encanta viajar a lugares donde pueda tener contacto con la vida salvaje. Por ello en ese momento, puse toda mi atención en este programa y posteriormente decidí investigar mucho más acerca del tema. Entre toda mi investigación, me encontré con un sinfín de noticias y artículos, que me daban datos aún más sorprendentes acerca de este suceso. Una de las investigaciones que más llamó mi atención fue publicada en la web elordenmundial.com la cual titularon “La Antártida, el último deshielo”. En este artículo se muestra información de gran relevancia, incluso para personas que nunca han leído sobre el tema. En la información, se resalta que la extensión de las plataformas de los glaciares va a variar dependiendo de la estación del año, sin embargo, se puntualiza que estas plataformas son más finas cada vez, debido al aumento de la temperatura de la tierra, por ende son mas más propensas a romperse. Aunque estas cifras parezcan ser poco alarmantes, con el pasar del tiempo poco a poco las costas del mar irán desapareciendo y si la Antártida se descongelara por completo, todo el nivel del mar crecería hasta desparecer muchas de las importantes ciudades costeras como por ejemplo Nueva York. Por otro lado, los efectos del descongelamiento de los polos también afectan en gran medida a los animales que viven en ellos, pues al descongelarse los polos las especies únicas como el oso polar y los pingüinos, no podrán seguir con vida en este ambiente hostil para ellos.Fue bastante desalentador encontrar toda esta información que no precisa más que el deceso completo de los polos en nuestro planeta, sin embargo, aún pienso que siempre podemos aportar nuestro grano de arena para brindar más cuidado a la tierra, disminuyendo el uso de combustibles, reciclando todo lo que sea posible y por supuesto, informando a todos nuestros conocidos para que también den su aporte.
